Dear Sponsors/Supporters
We are writing this note to thank your company/organization for contributing financial/technical support to BarCamp Phnom Penh ‘09, an open conference of all things technology in the Cambodian capital city.
According to info obtained from our registration desks, over 800 participants showed up at the tech conference, which took place from 3-4 October 2009 at Paññasastra University of Cambodia (PUC); this included attendees from Vietnam, Thailand and Singapore. This tech conference is probably the largest one this year, and we’re delighted to get positive comments from attendees that they look forward to BarCamp Phnom Penh next year.
The two-day conference was another success thank to the participation of Cambodian tech-enthusiasts, who are willing, open to learn. This event would had not taken place without our committed sponsors, media partners, supporters (from the region) and volunteers.
In the name of the lead event organizers, we would like to express our profound thank to your company/organization.
In the next two weeks, we hope to be able to send you a report of the event with more detailed information about the conference.
Once again, thank you for your participation and contribution.
Best regards,
BarCamp Phnom Penh ‘09 Organizers

BarCamp Phnom Penh core team and volunteers meeting

…to get things ready for the grand event.

The Allweb company was generous enough to provide office space, IT equipment and other stuff for the team to get things done ahead of BarCamp Phnom Penh ‘09, which will happen October 3-4, 2009.

In a week to go, some more than 600 people will be meeting at Paññasastra University of Cambodia (PUC) for BarCamp Phnom Penh ‘09. The two-day event, from 3-4 October 2009, will be only about learning, sharing and networking. It’s simply an exhibition of Cambodia’s technocrats; of course, there are no gadgets, computer laptops or smart phones to be on sale. There is only one thing: the participants themselves will have a chance to show off their initiative, progressing projects, and give presentation on topics matter to them for others to absorb.
To be familiar with the format of the event or this new, open learning platform, please take a look at this.
For travelers coming over to Phnom Penh, here’s some useful info of logistic.
Should you have any questions in regard to the event, here’s the contact info.
In case you can’t find the venue of this open un-conference, which is located at Cambodia’s most prestige university, a map could be located here.
Last but not least, it’s very exciting to sneak in [time] to see who will be there.
We’re delighted to welcome people from different places and countries.
[Svakum kar mok dol kampuchea].
